The PM Emerald Readers and Cards provide a selection of stories featuring a range of content, characters, issues for discussion, narrative and points of view.

They were specifically written with the needs of small- group teaching in mind, and cover a range of topics that give plenty of scope for group discussion in guided reading. Topics include volunteering in the community, moving to a new school and healthy eating.

The PM Emerald Level Non-Fiction titles are written at the reading level of nine to ten years. They offer a range of text forms, including journals, verses, newspaper reports and persuasive letters. These texts feature a student-centred focus on technology and the arts, reflecting the developing role of technology in art, design, music, media and communications.
