Introduction

Your children will be reaching for the ‘stars’ with 72 PM Stars titles! Comprising ‘Narratives’, ‘Families’ and ‘Non-fiction’ titles at Red, Yellow, Blue and Green levels, these PMs have been written by our expert PM author team to support guided and independent reading.

Families

Students will enjoy making some new friends with this collection of 16 non-fiction books. Four children and their families feature, with each book containing popular, relatable topics to engage young readers. There are also a variety of text types to ensure students are not only having fun, they are learning too.

Narratives

Comprising 24 narrative stories, children can read about their all-time favourite PM characters such as Jolly Roger, Monkey, Little Teddy and Rabbit as well as meet some new characters that they are sure to love.

Non-Fiction

In this collection of 32 carefully levelled texts, children will meet a fire-fighter, discover how to make their own treasure map, learn about big animals and so much more.

Activities and Teaching Notes

A PM Stars Teaching Notes and Activities CD-ROM is available for each of the four levels of PM Stars: Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. The teacher's notes provide valuable suggestions for how to use each book with small groups of children with similar reading abilities.

Each set of teacher's notes includes comprehensive lesson plans with information about reading strategies and comprehension and exploring and enriching students' vocabulary.

Two blackline master activities are also available for each text which will develop the reader's knowledge and skills.
