eCollection Premium - New School Year Rollover

Prepare for the new school year

This rollover page provides you with all the information you need to prepare for the new school year. To get started, choose the individual tasks below that apply for your eCollection Premium subscription.

If in the last school year you had an existing eCollection Premium subscription where most students were allocated into classes or groups, then we recommend you follow our walkthrough video for guidance.

Before you begin...

 

Make sure you are signed into your admin account at cengage.com.au/primary. Then navigate to the management area of your subscription. Please note that only admins can perform the rollover process.

1. Manage Teachers

  • Remove any teachers that have left the school, or are no longer using the subscription. This is done on the ‘Admins and Teachers’ page, by ticking the box to the left of the teacher’s name and using the ‘Delete from School’ button.
    Tip: If a teacher has ‘admin’ access, you will need to demote them to ‘teacher’ access before re-moving them.
  • Add any new teachers manually or in bullk.

Remove any teachers that have left the school, or are no longer using the subscription.

2. Remove Classes and Groups

  • Delete any classes that are no longer required. This is done on the ‘Classes’ page by ticking the box next to the class name and using the ‘Delete’ button.
  • Delete any groups that are no longer required. This is done on the ‘Groups’ page by ticking the box next to the group name and using the ‘Delete’ button.

3. Manage Students

  • Remove any students that have left the school, or are no longer using the subscription. This is done on the ‘Students’ page, by ticking the box to the left of the student’s name and using the ‘Remove from Subscription’ button.
    Tip: Using the ‘Delete from School’ button will permanently remove a student’s data, and you won’t be able to recover it you have deleted them by mistake.
  • Add any new students manually or in bullk.

4. Manage Classes

  • Update any classes as required.
    Tip: This is useful if a cohort of students has stayed in the same class, or if only one or two students have changed in a class
  • Add any new classes. This is done on the ‘Classes’ page by using the ‘Create Class’ button.
    Tip: You can search for a student in the ‘Student name’ section to easily locate them.
