Trevor Stanley worked as a Senior Lecturer in the School of Accountancy at QUT with his research concentrating on student learning. He taught Accounting for nearly 40 years and has a very long association with secondary education, having co-authored numerous textbooks on accounting and business management and served on Accounting syllabus committees. He is a life member of the Business Educators’ Association of Queensland and won awards from the Australian Learning and Teaching Council for outstanding contributions to student learning and from the Australian Professional Teachers Association for meritorious contribution to the profession. .
Chris Ryan was an Emeritus Professor at QUT. She was the Head of the School of Accountancy at QUT for 10 years. She is a Councillor on the Queensland Regional Council for CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand) and is a Commissioner on the ANFIN Council (the Anglican Financial Services Council). She publishes widely on issues of accounting, accountability and governance. As well as her research publications, Chris has co-authored several accounting and management textbooks. During her university career she served on a number of education and technical committees at both state and national levels and has also served as an advisor to government at both local and state levels. She is a past president and Fellow of the BEAQ.
