Since earning her Master’s degree in linguistics, literature, translation, civilisation and education, Maud has taught extensively in France, England and Australia (A&AS-Level, IB and VCE). For the past 20 years, she has held various school leadership positions in the independent education sector including a prestigious award-winning school. Maud is a French teacher, facilitator, presenter, published author and consultant, advising on educational material across the domain of languages. Maud has recorded a number of French audio resources for oral practice. In the last decade, Maud has combined her teaching and curriculum expertise with her enthusiasm for interacting with other educators. She has presented a variety of highly engaging and stimulating Professional Learning events with various compagnies at a national and international level. Maud’s passion lies in language teaching, curriculum planning, student engagement, mastery of the macro language skills and sharing successful strategies for quality teaching and learning experiences. Maud is the recipient of the inaugural Victorian French Teacher of the Year Award.
Michael has taught French in France, England and Australia (A&AS-Level, IB and VCE), mainly at secondary and tertiary level. Michael has taught Year 12 VCE and worked closely with IB students, preparing them for their oral and written examinations. He has also worked as an interpreter and translator in England. He has consulted on and authored online resources and applications for students learning French and recorded numerous materials in French. He has been involved in multiple cultural and linguistic exchanges and immersion programs for Victorian students of French. Michael is a leader in designing online curriculum courses through a variety of pedagogical tools and learning platforms. One of Michael’s passions lies in photography as a medium to capture French social and cultural aspects, and his photos have been exhibited and published. He has a deep interest in linguistics, grammar and literature, and a particular enthusiasm for teaching methodologies for French as a second language.
Alan Chamberlain taught in NSW before teaching and studying at the University of Paris-Sorbonne. He has had a long career in teaching French. He was the Associate Professor in French at the University of New South Wales and then an Associate Professor in languages education at the University of Brunei. Alan is a well-respected co-author of the market-leading Tapis Volant series.
