The book is made up of 8 sections that cover the relevant preparatory material for Units 3&4 Biology (ie, not all Units 1 and 2 is covered - only that material relevant to Units 3 and 4).

Each section begins with a double-page spread featuring an introduction to the topic on the left-hand page and Key Terms for the topic on the right-hand page.
The material within each section is covered in discrete double-page spreads, with theory on the left-hand side and questions and write-on answer space on the right.
