Gianna Pagni is a very influential teacher in NSW with over 25 years of experience in Italian language teaching. She has been one of the lead curriculum writers of Australian Curriculum: Italian. She is a lead teacher at Open High School in Sydney and has been involved in all aspects of teaching including working for the Board of Studies on all aspects of the HSC process. One of her areas of expertise is professional development of language teachers and developing digital resources for the distance education courses. She is the lead author on Parliamo Italiano Insieme level 2.
Cesare Popoli is a language teacher with an extensive Italian and Spanish teaching experience in NSW. He currently teaches secondary senior students at Open High School and adults at the Italian Institute of Culture and the University of Sydney’s Centre for Continuing Education. Cesare has an extensive experience as course writer, editor and advisor in both Italian, Spanish and Portuguese courses for Beginners, Continuers and Extension students. Over the last few years he has been working with the NSW Board of Studies on HSC exam writing, consulting and marking. He also worked as a Producer/Broadcaster on the SBS Italian Radio program and was a sessional lecturer at the University of Technology in Sydney.
