The PM Plus Teachers' Guide Turquoise Levels 17-19 provides suggestions for small-group teaching using the chapter books and non-fiction titles.

Each set of teachers notes includes
• text features of each book including key vocabulary, grammatical conventions, spelling and visual literacy components
• a variety of comprehension questions at the literal, inferential and critical levels
• suggested activities for going beyond the text
• two blackline masters for each text designed to provide practice in specific reading and writing skills
• a computer task blackline master to enhance students' understanding of the text using ICT skills.

The Teachers' Guide also provides ideas for assessment and an overview of a balanced reading program.
