Klaas Bootsma was head teacher of mathematics at Ambarvale High School in Campbelltown and has taught at Lurnea and Grantham High Schools. He was a senior HSC examiner and has worked on the HSC Advice Line. Klaas has been the lead author of the New Century Maths 9-10 series since 1995, including new editions for the Australian Curriculum in NSW.
Sarah Hamper teaches at Abbotsleigh School in Wahroonga and has taught at Meriden and Tara Anglican schools. Her expertise is in using modelling, problem solving and ICT for the effective learning of mathematics, and she has presented workshops for MANSW and nationally. Sarah is a co-author of new editions of New Century Maths 9-10 for the Australian Curriculum in NSW.
Margaret Willard has taught at numerous TAFE colleges and high schools for 35 years, as well as with OTEN (Open Training and Education Network). Margaret has extensive experience writing and reviewing units of work. She has also served on the executive of MANSW and managed its post-secondary programs.
Robert Yen has taught at the selective Hurlstone Agricultural High School and at Eagle Vale and Ambarvale high schools in southwest Sydney. He conducts workshops for HSC students, writes and presents regularly for MANSW and has co-edited its journal, Reflections. He now works for Cengage Learning as an associate publisher and series editor.
