Claire Middleton lectures in Sport Development at the Central Institute of Technology in Perth, having previously been a sports journalist for the Daily Telegraph, in London. As a writer, she has covered many international events including Wimbledon, the British Open golf, the Olympics of Sydney and Beijing plus the Commonwealth Games of 1998, 2002 and 2006. She has been a tutor in media law at Curtin University. In 2005, Claire completed a Masters’ Degree in Media Arts (Mass Communications) at the University of Luton.
Milanna Heberle is principal of a regional senior high school in Western Australia. She has more than 27 years’ experience in education and was directly involved in the development of the Physical Education Studies course, working at the Curriculum Council as the Physical Education Studies Project Officer. As a Secondary Schooling Consultant for the Department of Education, she had direct input into the deployment of the Physical Education Studies course. She was head of Health and Physical Education in two metropolitan schools, and taught physical and health education and outdoor education in secondary schools in Western Australia for
many years, including as a hockey specialist with the Como Secondary College Hockey Academy. As a Level 2 coach, Milanna coached and managed state and national junior hockey teams. She completed a Master of Education in 2005.
