Meet our author
Dr Claire Stonehouse is an academic and practitioner specialising in health education and student wellbeing, with a particular focus on sexuality and relationships education (SRE). As a Lecturer at Deakin, Claire has established herself as a leader in the development of innovative educational frameworks and resources, particularly those that address contemporary challenges in SRE, including the prevention of gender-based violence (GBV).
Her interdisciplinary approach integrates pedagogical best practices, enabling her to deliver impactful educational programs and research outputs. Claire works nationally and internationally contributing to SRE and Health Education curricula. Claire’s research focuses on relational and arts-based pedagogies and parents as sexuality educators of their children.
