Judy Binns
Judy Binns is an experienced author and former head of mathematics who has taught in urban and rural schools. She has an interest in motivating students with learning difficulties, with wide experience in teaching senior practical mathematics courses. With Sue Thomson, Judy has written for senior practical mathematics in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and WA.
Sue Thomson
Sue Thomson is a prolific and successful author with an interest in language development, financial literacy and making mathematics accessible to all. She is an experienced educational leader, examination writer and curriculum writer. Sue has written many successful series for Queensland, NSW, Victoria and WA, including the Access to Prevocational Mathematics series.
Anna Wethereld
Anna Wethereld has been a leader in schools, curriculum, assessment and teacher training for over 25 years, including at Brisbane State High School, QCAA and Queensland College of Teachers. As a teacher, she was a Panellist for Mathematics C (Specialist Maths) for Brisbane North, head of mathematics and deputy principal. As the state Mathematics Curriculum Manager at NESA, Anna led Mathematics K-12 in NSW and coordinated the development of new Years 11-12 syllabuses.
Lani Killalea
Lani Killalea has taught Mathematics and Technology for over 20 years and was a head of department and deputy principal in Brisbane and regional schools. She teaches at Aspley State High School, was a district panellist for Brisbane North and has taught a range of subjects from learning support to senior General courses.
Tracey MacBeth Dunn
Tracey MacBeth-Dunn has taught Mathematics for over 30 years, including experience as head of mathematics and external exam marker for General Mathematics in Queensland and NSW. She was also a lead author on the Australian Curriculum series Nelson Senior Maths 11-12 for General Mathematics.
Lachlan Grierson
Lachlan Grierson has taught Mathematics and Information Technology in schools and at TAFE for over 20 years, most recently at Emerald and Warwick Christian Colleges. He was a QCAA Panelist for Information Processing Technology on the Gold Coast, and recently wrote topic tests for Nelson Maths 7-10.
Sam Hodgson
Sam Hodgson teaches at Brisbane State High School and has taught the new Mathematical Methods course and marked its external exam extensively since it was introduced in 2019. Working at a large academic school, he also teaches Specialist Mathematics, is involved in Fast-Track Mathematics programs and coordinates the Year 10 Mathematical Methods Preparation course.
Stephen Swift
Series Editor: Stephen Swift has taught Mathematics, Science and Computing in urban and regional schools, and was Head of Mathematics at Wellington Point State High School. He was the lead author of Nelson QMaths 7–10, Nelson QMaths 11–12 and Nelson Senior Maths 11–12 (Australian Curriculum).
