Overview

Maths in Focus 11 & 12 has been rewritten and updated to cover the new NESA Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2 HSC courses, to be implemented from 2019. With its clear and concise plain English explanations, Maths in Focus has been the popular and trusted go-to series for teaching senior mathematics for over 25 years. Author Margaret Grove has now updated her Mathematics and Mathematics Extension 1 books for a new generation of students, while experienced teachers and authors Jim Green and Janet Hunter have written a new Mathematics Extension 2 book for the series (for use from 2020).

About the Authors

Margaret Grove has spent over 30 years teaching HSC Mathematics. She has written numerous senior mathematics texts and study guides over the past 25 years, including the best-selling Maths in Focus series for Mathematics and Mathematics Extension 1.

Jim Green is Head of Mathematics at Trinity Catholic College, Lismore. He has written HSC examinations and syllabus writing drafts, and co-authored Nelson Senior Maths 11–12 Specialist Mathematics for the AC.

Janet Hunter is Head of Mathematics at Ascham School, Edgecliff. She has been a senior HSC examiner, judge, and Advice Line adviser, served on the editorial team for the MANSW journal, Reflections, and coauthored Nelson Senior Maths 11–12 Specialist Mathematics for the AC.
